White heads are small white spots that can appear on your face. They are essentially an accumulation of sebum, which your body builds up naturally and which consists of your body's natural oils and dead skin cells. White heads form when the sebum starts clogging your pores and, they are often yellow or white and they might be raised from the surface of your skin.

The best move to get rid of whiteheads is to consistently practice a proper skin regimen that is tested for at least one month with your own skin. This needs to be practiced on a daily basis. One of the best regimens to specifically combat whiteheads is the incorporation of exfoliation. Exfoliate your skin with a mild facial scrub and a gentle massaging action.

Too much oil in foods, too much or too much of anything can trigger an outbreak of whiteheads. Likewise the skin is the biggest organ in the body and thus is the biggest area to be affected by toxins that enter the body. Whiteheads do not necessarily occur on the face only and can also occur in other parts of the body.

The presence of excess oil on the face for a long time blocks the pores. Since the oil is exposed to air it oxidizes and becomes black causing black heads. White heads grow because of the oil that entraps inside the inner part of the skin and remains white because it is not exposed to air. Applying cleanser containing salicylic acid or alphahydroxil acid after washing the face may help in unblocking the pores.

The smothering method is a messy way of handling the parasites on the scalp, but it has been known to work. Smother the hair with a thick substance, like Vaseline. Place a shower cap on top to prevent extra mess and leave to work its magic overnight. Use white vinegar in the morning to help remove the greasy residue from the hair.

Because there are several different causes for whiteheads you may need to find a method of treatment that works for you so you can learn how to get rid of whiteheads with your personal body chemistry in mind. It is certain that you do not need to suffer with embarrassing white heads with the treatments that are available today. If you have to live your life with a blemish covered face it can be much more difficult.

If your whiteheads are too many, you can try the help of health care provider or dermatologists. They can offer whitehead or comedones extraction. This skin procedure uses a device called comedone extractor. This small extractor device is centered on the comedone, pushing the surrounding skin down. This causes the white head plug to extrude.

Avoid touching your face often. Make sure your hands are clean before you touch your face otherwise the bacteria in your hands can cause infection on your skin. Keep yourself well hydrated to get rid of blackheads. Drinking lot of water and fresh juices will help you get rid of blackheads. Drinking a glass of water with honey in the morning will help you remove the unwanted toxins from your body.
